Introduction
ORBIT 2025 is an international academic conference committed to advancing rigorous, interdisciplinary research on the foundational design, performance, and governance of the Internet. As the global Internet continues to scale in complexity and criticality, it faces mounting challenges — including architectural fragmentation, systemic vulnerabilities, and lack of embedded trust and security.
ORBIT responds to these challenges by convening the global research community to critically examine, measure, and reimagine the Internet’s core systems and standards. The conference champions a vision for future networks that are resilient and interoperable, and verifiably secure by design — where trust is not bolted on, but architected from the ground up.
Positioned at the intersection of theory, engineering, and standards development, ORBIT provides a forum for scholarly exchange and collaborative agenda-setting among systems researchers, protocol designers, infrastructure engineers, measurement scientists, and public-interest technologists.

Call for Papers
The ORBIT 2025 Conference invites original, high-quality research contributions that advance the design, measurement, performance, and trust of next-generation Internet infrastructure. As the Internet evolves into a critical enabler of digital economies, smart societies, and cyber-physical systems, it faces growing demands for resilience, security, interoperability, and architectural rethinking.
ORBIT 2025 offers a premier forum for researchers, engineers, policy experts, and technologists to share insights, innovations, and standardization efforts that shape a verifiably secure, resilient, and scalable Internet.
This year’s conference will be co-located with the Internet Society’s Pulse Internet Measurement Forum (PIMF) and will feature tracks aligned with global Internet measurement, standards development, and open trust architectures.
